Your pet-friendly alarm system is:

All systems start with;
- ADT Bell box with flashing LED light
- ADT Smart Home Hub alarm panel with touch screen and Bluetooth disarm
- ADT Smart Services to control your pet-friendly alarm through a phone, tablet or PC
The system will then be tailored specifically to your requirements. This can include:
- Wireless door contacts
- PIR motion sensors (suitable for where pets are below 35kg)
- Shock sensors, placed on windows and doors, activating the alarm when forced entry is detected. This gives pets the freedom to move throughout the property while the alarm is set
- Indoor or two-way audio cameras to allow you to keep an eye on your pets
- View live footage to keep an eye on your pets

Can I purchase a pet-friendly alarm without the monthly monitoring costs?
Every ADT system is monitored 24/7, 365 days a year. Security is essential to us, and so we build monitoring into everything we do.
How do Pet tolerant/friendly sensors/PIRs work?
Motion sensors or PIRs (passive infra-red motion sensors) are designed to be pet tolerant, to ignore any changes in passive infrared (movement of body heat) at floor level, up to 35kgs in weight/mass.

What if I have large pets or active pets?
There is a possibility that large pets above 35kgs (or birds) will trigger an alarm system. An ADT home security consultant will be able to advise you on the most appropriate sensors to match you and your pets needs.
Is the panel portable, or do I need to have it fixed to the wall?
The alarm panel you’ll receive has a single wire, which runs to a domestic plug socket. You can then have it mounted to a wall, or have it freestanding on a table or sideboard.
Your panel is needed to set and unset your alarm, so we recommend it is positioned near your front door. For added flexibility, it can also be paired with up to three IQ remotes (smaller versions of the main panel) to control your alarm in other locations, such as a bedroom or study.
Can I add more cameras to this package?
Our Pet Friendly package comes with one Wi-Fi camera as standard but more indoor and outdoor cameras can be added as required.
